Former England international footballer Jermaine Jenas has been fined more than £600 and given six penalty points for failing to supply information to police following a speeding offence.

The 30-year-old, who plays for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship, failed to confirm he was the driver of a Porche that was clocked at 37mph in a 30mph limit in Nottingham last November.

While the speeding offence was withdrawn, Jenas was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60, along with the fine, for failing to hand his details to police.
