Police have launched a murder investigation after one man was found dead and a second seriously injured in a residential street in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
A police statement said the incident followed "sightings of a man brandishing a machete in Eastwood and Rotherham town centre".
Emergency service were called to the Grosvenor Road area of the town shortly after 2pm today. The street is cordoned off and forensics experts are at the scene.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
