No House Republican vote on debt ceiling on Tuesday

Republicans in the US House of Representatives are not planning to vote on legislation to end the debt standoff on Tuesday and will continue talks on Wednesday, according to Republican representative Pete Sessions.

The US Senate has passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling and avoid a potential default. It will now be sent to the House of Representatives for a final vote. President Obama has said he will sign the bill "immediately" after the House vote.
