Police appeal to mothers to help with pizza death probe

Police appealed directly to mothers to help with an investigation into the death of a 25-year-old student who was stabbed to death as he made his final pizza delivery.

Detective Superintendent Lisa Ray said: "Was it your son that came home a little bit dishevelled, perhaps with bloodstained clothing?"

The IT graduate was said by police to be "very close" to his family in Sri Lanka and spoke to his own mother every day.
