Speaking near the scene of Thavisha Peiris' murder, Detective Superintendent Lisa Ray described the attack on the pizza delivery worker as "brutal".
"What makes it more tragic is Thavisha was on his last day, he'd just secured a good job in Sheffield as an IT consultant," Detective Ray told reporters.
