University 'saddened' to hear of graduate's death

Sheffield Hallam University has paid tribute to murdered pizza worker Thavisha Peiris who was fatally stabbed as he made his final delivery before starting a career as an IT consultant.

A spokesman said: "The university is saddened to hear of the tragic death on Sunday of Thavisha Peiris, who successfully graduated in 2011 with a degree in information technology.

"We encourage anyone with information to contact South Yorkshire Police."

Arrests in pizza worker murder

Police have made two arrests in connection with the murder of Thavisha Lakindu Peiris, who was stabbed to death in Sheffield during his last shift as a delivery man for Domino's Pizza. A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old male are being held.
