Chief Inspector tweets appeal in search for baby mother

The Force Incident Manager at West Midlands Police has tweeted an appeal for information from his own Twitter account after a newborn was discovered in a Birmingham park.

Chief Inspector Jack Hadley said finding the mother of the baby girl is 'a priority' for the force.

A newborn baby girl found abandoned in a bag in a Birmingham park has been named Jade by hospital staff. The girl is "happy and contented" as she recovers in hospital, West Midlands Police said as detectives attempted to trace her missing mother.
