Hunt for woman who took alligator on a Chicago train

Police are searching for a woman who took an alligator on a Chicago train before it was found abandoned at O'Hare International Airport.

Security footage shows the unknown woman boarding a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train on 1 November at around 2.17am, carrying the small, sickly alligator under her arm.

Police are searching for the woman, who was the last person seen with the alligator before it was found at the airport.

The two-foot-long alligator was eventually captured after an airport maintenance worker found it under an escalator at Terminal 3.
