Amanda Holden: disaster 'impelled' me to help

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said she felt "impelled" by the images of disaster in the Philippines to help the aid appeal.

Speaking at today's telethon she said:

"It's the mums in tents with kids that always upsets me when any disaster strikes.

"At the weekend I said to my husband I need to get in Red Cross van and go there."
