Latvia mourns collapse victims

Worshippers attending Sunday morning service churches across Latvia have offered prayers for those who died after a supermarket roof collapsed in the capital Riga. Fifty four people have died and seven others are still missing, officials said.

Latvia store ruins to be 'demolished with memorial built'

After the rescue operation and investigation into the collapse of a supermarket in Latvia, the ruins will be demolished, Riga mayor Nil Ushakov announced on Twitter.

Ushakov said that he was considering "banning the site" all together, and building a memorial in its place, after 52 people were killed.
