An investigation has found no evidence that the Porsche carrying US actor Paul Walker had mechanical problems before it crashed, an official has told the Associated Press.
"We're looking at speed and speed alone," a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The investigation also ruled out debris or other roadway conditions as causing the the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT in which the Fast & Furious star was a passenger to crash into a street light and tree.
The official said that the Porsche appeared to have negotiated a curve in the road just fine before crashing in an industrial park about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
"They were well out of the curve when they lost control," the official said.
Walker, 38, died alongside his friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas in the crash last month.
