Malky Mackay sacked by Cardiff

Cardiff City have sacked Malky Mackay as manager. His exit had been widely predicted after owner Vincent Tan last week sent him an email demanding he resign or be sacked. Tan has attacked Mackay for airing the club's "dirty linen" in public.

Eriksson among early favourites for Cardiff City job

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is among the early favourites to replace Malky Mackay as Cardiff City manager.

The popular Scot was sacked by owner Vincent Tan today after an acrimonious final few weeks in charge.

Ex-Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Yilmaz Vural, Dave Jones and Craig Bellamy are also rumoured to be in the running.
