Residents along Thames prepare for more flooding

The Environment Agency has warned communities along the River Thames throughout Surrey, Berkshire and Oxfordshire of the risk of further flooding, after it burst its banks. There are currently more than 70 flood warnings in place.

Cornish town of Looe hit by flooding

Looe resident Edwina Hannaford has tweeted photographs of flooding in the Cornish town.

Severe, and potential deadly, flooding is expected in many parts of the UK today with fears of storm surges - high tides combined with heavy rain and strong winds.
