Footballers wish Walcott speedy recovery from injury

Former England striker Michael Owen - who ruptured his cruciate ligament during a 2006 World Cup match - wished Theo Walcott a "speedy recovery" from the same injury.

Walcott's Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey echoed Owen's sentiments:

England goalkeeper John Ruddy suggested Walcott's injury could present an international opportunity for his Norwich teammate Nathan Redmond.
