Passengers planning to use Edinburgh Airport today have been advised to contact their airline carrier as the airport remains closed following the discovery of a "potentially suspicious" package in what is believed to be passenger luggage.
Some vehicles appear to have been allowed to leave the airport, according to Twitter user @WaleJamie who said that no cars, buses or taxis were being allowed access into the site.
Edinburgh Airport is closed & not accepting incoming flights. Passengers should not to travel to the airport. Please contact your airline.
