Motorists 'could save £15 on insurance premiums'

The Association of British Insurers (AIB) has estimated that motorists could save £15 on their premiums thanks to the data being put online.

The savings would not be felt by motorists who had lied about their driving record.


Online licence database could cut costs for motorists

Drivers could see a drop in their insurance premiums as a result of plans to make all driving licence records available in an online database. The cost of hiring a car could also drop as a result of the change.
