Heather Watson has been defeated in the first round of the Australian Open, leaving Andy Murray the lone Brit in the singles competition.
Watson conceded to Slovakian 31st seed Daniela Hantuchova after three sets, losing 7-5 3-6 6-3. Earlier, fellow Brit Laura Robson also fell at the first hurdle, being defeated by Belgian Kirsten Flipkens in two sets.
Murray will take on Japan's Go Soeda in the men's first round on Tuesday.
