Italian football club Bologna have suspended four members of their technical staff after they reportedly forgot to collect their new signing from the airport.

Club president Albano Guaraldi was furious after Brazilian midfielder Ibson arrived on Sunday, only to find there was nobody from the club to pick him up.

The incident is the latest setback for the former Porto player after supporters of his former club Corinthians uploaded a picture onto an online forum showing a banner saying, "Thanks Bologna for liberating us of Ibson".

Bologna, who are experiencing severe financial problems, are currently 17th in Serie A and lie just one point above the relegation zone.
