12 Years a Slave named Best Picture at the Oscars

British director Steve McQueen's film 12 Years a Slave has been named Best Picture at the Oscars. Other winners include Best Actor Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club and Best Actress Cate Blanchette for Blue Jasmine.
