British soldier killed preparing engineer plant equipment

A soldier from 32 Engineer Regiment who died as a result of non-battle related injuries in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan has been named as Sapper Adam Moralee, who was 23. He was fatally injured "preparing engineer plant equipment", the MoD said.

Death of British soldier in Afghanistan 'a tragic loss'

Commenting on the death of a British soldier in Afghanistan, the Commanding Officer of 32 Engineer Regiment Group, Lieutenant Colonel Steve Davies, said:

"The tragic death of this committed and professional sapper has hit the Task Force Helmand Engineer Group hard; the Corps has lost a rising star, and his Squadron has lost a respected comrade and friend.

"At this most difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

The serviceman's next of kin have been informed.
