The former headteacher of a British teenager found dead in Florida has paid tribute to a "sociable" and "able pupil".
Alex Hollinghurst was born in Oldham and lived there until she was six. Her family moved to Hadfield in Derbyshire where she attended St. Andrew's C.E. Junior School until the age of 11.
It is thought her family left Hadfield for the US in 2010.
