Cara Delevingne joins protests to keep student in UK

Supermodel Cara Delevigne has joined the flurry of support for a top A level student faced with deportation.

Yashika Bageerathi, 19, who is being held at Yarl's Wood detention centre, had her case reviewed separately from the rest of her family, as she is an adult in the eyes of the law.

Support for the high achieving student has gathered pace with the hashtag #FightForYashika and Labour MP David Hanson calling the decision to deport her "very unfair".

An online petition urging the Government to keep her in the UK has reached 15,000 signatures.
