Family pay tribute to Essex aircraft crash victim

The family of one of the two men killed in a light aircraft crash in Essex have paid tribute to him. Married father-of-one Simon Chamberlain, 29, was travelling as a passenger when the Yak 52 plane downed. Police are yet to name the plane's pilot.

Aircraft was 'completely alight' after Essex field crash

The light aircraft that crash landed in a field in Essex was "completely alight" when firefighters arrived at the scene near Cooksmill Green, Essex Fire and Rescue Service have said.

On arrival the incident commander reported that the plane was completely alight. Crews used foam and had extinguished the fire by 3.55pm.
