Foreign Office confirms death of Briton in Brazil

The Foreign Office has confirmed the death of a British oil worker, in an attempted carjacking in Brazil. In a statement, a spokeswoman said: "We were made aware of the death of a British national in Brazil on April 2.

"We stand ready to provide consular assistance to the family at this difficult time."

A British oil worker has been shot dead in an attempted carjacking in Brazil. Peter Campsie was killed by two gunmen in Rio de Janeiro as he returned home to his family following a business meeting.
