Shrien Dewani arrives in Cape Town on 'private' flight

Shrien Dewani, the husband of honeymoon murder victim Anni Dewani, has arrived in Cape Town ahead of a court appearance this morning.


Away from Pretoria, SA authorities confirm that Shrien Dewani has arrived in Cape Town with doctor, nurse, police and Interpol officers


Authorities chose not to use a commercial flight "as his identity is well known. His peculiar medical condition needed to be monitored"


South African authorities used a private aircraft for medical and security reasons. They wanted to ensure his journey was "hazard free"


Shrien Dewani remanded in custody by South African court

Shrien Dewani has been remanded in custody until May 12 after a court appearance in South Africa. He denies the murder of his wife Anni on their honeymoon.
