American journalist freed in Ukraine

Vice News reporter Simon Ostrovsky has been released from captivity in Ukraine.


We are delighted to confirm that our colleague and friend @simonostrovsky has been released and is in good health.

Pro-Russian separatists were holding the American journalist in the eastern Ukrainian town of Slaviansk.

In a statement on their website Vice say that Mr Ostrovsky is "safe and in good health".
