Coronation Street star Barbara Knox pleaded not guilty to a charge of drink driving at Macclesfield Magistrates' Court today .
The 80-year-old, who plays Rita Tanner in the ITV soap, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in March.
She was represented in court by high-profile criminal defence solicitor Nick Freeman.
The actress was bailed until July 23rd, ITV News Granada correspondent Matt O'Donoghue reported.
