Germany denounced the parading of European observers held captive by pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine as "revolting", and said Moscow had a duty to press its separatist allies to free the prisoners.
"The public parading of the OSCE observers and Ukrainian security forces as prisoners is revolting and blatantly hurts the dignity of the victims," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said in a statement.

The news was announced on Instagram by director Spike Lee who described him as a "dear friend" and "a great actor".
In a statement the pair said they remained "great friends" and "will continue to support each other".
The comedian has handed over a not-for-profit cafe he opened last year to a charity that helps ex-prisoners and recovering addicts.
