Pop star Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field are expecting their second child, the singer announced on Twitter.
The 40-year-old, who lives with his wife and 2-year-old daughter Teddy in Los Angeles, was once dismissed as the ''fat dancer from Take That'' by Oasis' Noel Gallagher, but he became one of the biggest stars of British music.
He quit the group in the mid-1990s and embarked on a solo career which included a mainstay of the karaoke club, Angels.
Mr Williams also battled personal demons - drink and drugs - along the way and often said success had not necessarily led to happiness.
The Stoke-born singer enjoyed a return to the pop charts with his album Swings Both Ways, which soared to the number one spot at the end of last year.
