Double explosion at Indian train station

Two explosions on a train approaching Chennai train station have been reported, killing at least one person and injuring another 10, the Times of India is reporting

The explosions took place on the Bangalore-Guwahati Express as it was approaching platform number 9 at the Chennai Central Station shortly at 7:15am local time.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Swathi, who was travelling from Guntur along with a relative.

She was sitting on the seat under which the bomb was placed.

A team of National Security Guards have been sent to the bomb site.
