Blair has 'no recollection' of minister sex abuse claims

Tony Blair's office has issued a statement saying the former Prime Minister has "no recollection" of being told one of his ministers was suspected of involvement in a paedophile ring.

The allegations relate to attacks thought to have taken place at a children's home in Brixton, south London in the early 1980s.

A Daily Mirror investigation claims an investigation into the case was deliberately halted when allegations were made against an unnamed member of Mr Blair's government.

Mr Blair has absolutely no recollection of this ever being brought to his attention.

Of course if there is evidence of any wrongdoing that should be handed to the relevant authorities for full investigation.
