United States President Barack Obama has urged Moscow to use its influence over separatists in eastern Ukraine to encourage them to stand down and secure the immediate release of OCSE observers.
Mr Obama also told journalists that the US will continue to secure trade agreements with the European Union and that the allies would "move quickly" on further sanctions if Russia was to disrupt planned elections in Ukraine.
European Union foreign ministers added 13 people to their visa ban and asset freeze list over Ukraine's crisis.

Nearly 90 percent of voters in eastern Ukrainian region voted for self-rule, the head of the separatist election commission said.
