Protesters call for rescue of kidnapped Nigerian girls

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Nigerian embassy in London this afternoon, to demand the government do more to rescue more than 230 girls captured more than a fortnight ago.

Boko Haram Islamists are suspected to be behind the mass kidnapping.

The protest was one of several global rallies planned across Europe and the USA today in support of the families of the girls, who took to the streets earlier this week in Nigeria.
