Gerry Kelly: Arrest is political and has been mishandled

Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly said Gerry Adams is in good health and is being treated well by police.

Emerging after speaking to the leader outside the Antrim police station he has been questioned in for the past five days, Mr Kelly said Mr Adams shared his belief that the timing of the arrest was political, and has been mishandled.

There is "insufficient evidence" to pursue a prosecution against Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams in relation to the 1972 murder of Jean McConville, according to reports.
