Parts of Britain enjoyed high temperatures comparable to areas of the Med as the sun made a welcome Bank Holiday appearance today.
Temperatures in the east, south, and south east rose to highs of 21 Celsius, but temperatures in Northern Ireland and Scotland failed to reach double figures, and there have been outbreaks of rain in western Scotland.
