Queen pulls out of Order of the Bath service duties

After 62 years, the Queen was forced to make a rare public concession to her age as, at the 11th hour, she pulled out of part of a service for knights of the Order of the Bath at Westminster Abbey.

Becoming a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath is an honour traditionally bestowed on the nation's top military men.

Although she did attend the service, her son and heir Prince Charles, conducted proceedings.
