Murder probe after man dies in Wales house fire

A murder probe has been launched after a man injured in a house fire died in hospital.

The alarm was raised on Friday night after emergency crews were called to a flat in New Road, Ynysybwl, South Wales.

A 46-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were both taken to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The man's condition was described as critical and he later died, South Wales Police said.

The force added the 28-year-old woman, who is from the Swansea area, was continuing to be questioned by officers at Cardiff Bay Police Station on suspicion of arson and murder.
