Hodgson: Young players have imposed themselves

Roy Hodgson said England's young players have "imposed themselves" and deserve to be included in the World Cup squad.

The 66-year-old said players such as Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling had played so well for their club teams that they warranted their selection.

Roy Hodgson announces England squad for World Cup

England manager Roy Hodgson has announced his 23-man squad for the World Cup in Brazil. Manchester United midfielders Tom Cleverley and Michael Carrick missed out but there was a place on the plane for Chelsea's Frank Lampard.
