West Bromwich Albion have parted company with their manager Pepe Mel by mutual consent.

The Spanish coach, who was appointed in January, was in charge for just 17 Premier League games as the Baggies narrowly avoided relegation.

"Both parties have decided to go their separate ways following talks between the Board of Directors and the Head Coach today," a club statement said.
