The death toll after a fire and explosion at coal mine in western Turkey has increased to at least 15, with many more hundreds trapped underground, officials have said.
Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said 11 injured miners had been recovered from the mine in Soma, around 75 miles (120 km) northeast of the Aegean coastal city of Izmir.
