A 38-year-old mother has been arrested on suspicion of overlaying after a newborn baby girl was found dead.
The unnamed woman was arrested at her home in Chesham, Buckinghamshire this morning in connection with the unexplained death, Thames Valley Police said.
It is understood the baby was just a few weeks old at the time of her death.
Police have not released any further details, but overlaying is the term used when a baby is suffocated when somebody lies on them while in bed.
