Incoming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to fulfill the dreams of 1.2 billion people after an election win which delivered the country's first outright majority government in 30 years.
Mr Modi declared the result a "landmark" and promised the nation "good days are about it come" once his BJP party's victory was confirmed.
