Body found at disused Welsh quarry

A body has been recovered from the water at a disused quarry in North Wales.

A search operation was launched after reports of a man failing to resurface at Denbigh quarry.

Police were alerted to the incident at about 4.15pm yesterday.

A man's body was recovered from the water yesterday evening by members of the Joint Underwater Search Team, North Wales Police said.

The next of kin have been informed.
