Toulon and former England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson has announced he will call time on his career at the end of the season.

Wilkinson, made famous by a dramatic World Cup winning drop goal in 2003, broke the news on the website of his current club, Toulon.

Wilkinson retires as one of just five men to score 1000 points in international rugby, with his 1246 second only to New Zealand's Dan Carter.
