Trial begins for man accused of Creasy Twitter abuse

A man who denies sending abusive messages to Labour MP Stella Creasy on Twitter is due to stand trial today.

Peter Nunn, 33, pleaded not guilty to a single allegation when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court in February.

He is charged with sending an abusive or indecent message under section 127 of the Communications Act, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.
