Army dog killed in Afghanistan to be honoured

An army dog killed in Afghanistan will be awarded the animal equivalent to the Victoria Cross today in a special ceremony by the animal charity PDSA.

Sasha is credited with saving dozens of lives in Afghanistan by sniffing out explosive devices and weapons. She was killed alongside her handler, 24-year-old Lance Corporal Kenneth Rowe, in an ambush grenade attack.
