Britons who are in Thailand or thinking of travelling to the country have been advised to keep monitoring the Foreign Office's travel guidance for the region.
Hundreds of British tourists are having to adhere to a strict night curfew after the bloodless coup in the country.
"We are monitoring the situation on the ground very carefully. British nationals in Thailand or thinking of travelling to Thailand should monitor the FCO's travel advice, which will be continually updated as events develop," Foreign Secretary William Hague said.
