Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown has said they are interviewing "multiple witnesses" following a shooting in California which left seven people dead, including the suspected gunman.
Sheriff Brown told a press conference: "This is still a very active investigation and as you can imagine a very chaotic series of crime scenes. It is still in the very early phases of the investigation.
"We have identified nine separate crimes scenes within the area and multiple victims who were either shot or injured, apparently as a result of the suspect's actions."
He appealed for anyone else who might have witnessed any of the shootings to contact the sheriff's office tip line.
