Police appeal after armed robber escapes prison

Police are appealing for help after an armed robber, who was serving a life sentence, escaped from Hollesley Bay prison.

Paul Oddysses, 49, fled the jail at around 12.30am today.

Oddysses is described as white, around 5ft 6ins, of thin build, with brown hair, brown eyes and clean shaven.

He also has a scar on the back of his head and tattoos on both arms.

Police said he has connections in the Hertfordshire and Essex areas and should not be approached by members of the public.
