Nick Clegg has insisted he will not "walk away" or "wash his hands" of the Liberal Democrats' disappointing performance in the European Parliament elections.
The Lib Dem leader also insisted his party would not break up the coalition government following results that left them with just one MEP.
"We're not going to buckle, we're not going to lose our nerve and we're not going to walk away," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
